About: Pam Kristan
Pam Kristan’s musical track has taken her from her native Chicago to Madison WI for a piano performance degree, to Boulder CO for work on a Masters of Music Literature (with Phil Batstone and others) and eventually via Washington County ME to Boston. En route she wrote criticism for Portland ME publications (The Maine Times, the Portland Press Herald, the Portland Independent et al.) and through that work, came to attention of Michael Steinberg. He led her to Music Critics Association where she was a fellow for their St. Louis, NYC, and San Francisco institutes. After moving to Boston she wrote program notes for Boston Cecilia and Cantata Singers which ensemble she managed back in the early 80s. She has written two books, the more recent, Awakening In Time: Practical Time Management For Those On a Spiritual Path. She is again dancing and now lives in Jamaica Plain.
