John Secunde (b. 1995) is an American composer and performer hailing from Limerick, Maine. Drawing inspiration from poetry, rock music, and the natural world, Secunde writes music that combines finely-crafted transparency with vitality and play. Secunde's music has been performed by the Horszowski Trio, violist David Rose, the Fredonia Concert Band, and saxophonist Jeff Humphrey, among others. He recently completed a B.M. in Music Composition at the State University of New York at Fredonia, and is currently pursuing a MM in Composition as a Presidential Scholar at the Longy School of Music.
