About: Jeffrey Gantz
Jeffrey Gantz has a BA in English from Amherst College and a PhD in Celtic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University. He worked at the Boston Phoenix for 33 years, 20 of them as arts editor. He is the translator of two volumes for Penguin Classics, The Mabinogion and Early Irish Myths and Sagas. His writing has appeared in Poetry, Dickens Studies Newsletter, Medium Ævum, Literature/Film Quarterly, Boston Review, Ballet Review, Dance Magazine, and Stagebill. He was a Pulitzer Prize jurist in 1999 and 2000. He resides in Cambridge with his wife, Ann.
