According to NEC’s Ellen Pfeifer, students, colleagues, and music-loving friends, understandably concerned by Distinguished Artist-in-Residence Russell Sherman’s last minute cancellation of his recital Sunday evening (September 29), will want to know that the 83-year old pianist had a fall in his home Sunday afternoon. The accident resulted in a hip fracture, from which a full recovery is expected.
